How to Practice

Sit facing North or East. Use a rudraksha mala (best for Shiva mantras). Light a ghee lamp. Offer bilva (bel) leaves if available. For healing a specific illness, chant 108 times daily for 40 days (one mandala). The mantra can also be chanted over water, which is then given to the sick person to drink.
